Walk to window/examine window/look at window
You walk to the window. There is a big gap in the middle where glass has been shattered. You have never quite worked out how it broke.
Climb out window/attempt to climb out window
You try to open the window and climb out, but as you do the weight of your body against the window frame causes the glass to shatter, cutting a deep, long cut across your palm.In a state of shock, you scurry out onto the window ledge before freezing still at the sight of the two story drop down to the harsh, cold looking gravel below.
Open window/attempt to open window
You try to open the window without damaging anymore of the glass, and without damaging yourself. But just as you begin it wobbles and then the glass shatters into thousands of shards, one of which lands on the palm of you hand, cutting a long, deep painful cut. Despite no one being able to see you, you try to act tough. You have to. Now's not the time for tears.
