- Creativity
(person's ability to generate new ideas/conceive new perspectives on existing ideas)

The Creative Process
- Preparation
- Usually the first stage in creative process, includes training and formal education
- Incubation
- stage of less intense conscious concentration during which a creative person lets the knowledge and ideas acquired mature and develop
- Insight
- create process in which all thoughts and ideas that were maturing during incubation come together through a breakthrough
- Verification
- determines the validity or truthfulness of the insight
- include development of the product/ service prototype

- make it part of org culture, through explicit firm goals
- reward creative successes
- not to punish creative failures
