MAKE DO becomes MAKE TO DO
A= My mom made me look for her keys. P= I was made to look for her keys.
DOUBLE OBJECT
A= We gave my mom cookies. P1= Cookies were given to my mom.
P2= My mom was given cookies.
Causatives
For actions that somebody else usually does for you.
Have/get something done.
I had my hair cut yesterday.
Have someone do something/get someone to do something
I had a technician fix my laptop. I got a technician to fix my laptop.
Phrasal Verbs
Stumble on.- to find sb/sth by chance.
Nod off.- to start falling asleep.
Call/knock/cut off.- to stop.
Call around.- telephone several people for information.
Back down.- conceive that the other person is correct.
Burst into/in.- to enter a place suddenly.
Hand out.- to deliver something.
Slip on.- dress up in a fast way.
Tell off.- to criticize someone angrily for doing something wrong.
Butt in.- take part in a conversation or activity, or enter somewhere, without being invited or expected.
