Napoleon invades Spain
In1808, Napoleon invaded and controlled Spain.
Napoleon sends King Ferdinand the VII into exile and gives control of Spain to his bother, Joseph Bonaparte.
This fact unleashes a war in Spain for its Independence that lasts all the way into 1914, this was also known as the “Spanish Liberal Movements”.
The Spanish movements summoned the Spanish Parliament and create a new liberal constitution "Cadiz Constitution of 1812" which proclaimed:
