Sources of the Constitution
First Source: GOVERNMENT OF INDIA ACT OF 1935
passed by the parliament in London
was in force from 1935-1950
some of the salient features
provided for a parliamentary system (but the ultimate power rested with the British
it included a wide ranging administrative aspects for the structure of government
it created a centralized federal system; and it provided for elections to provincial legislatures
