Rome Connections
Art
Most of Rome's buildings had huge pillars to keep them stable. Romans usually fashioned these pillars so that they would look nicer which made many buildings in Rome look a lot better.
The Romans invented/enhanced many different art styles that we use today, including painting (landscape and portrait), sculpting, jewelry making, and even sometimes mosaics.
Architecture
Another thing about the pillars in Rome were the fact that they were some of the most important parts of the structure of a building, since they held it all up.
Romans used many different ways to create their buildings that seemed advanced compared to the other civilizations at the time, including structures made out of concrete, like "The Dome" and "The Arch", which were structures that helped Rome a lot.
Government
The Roman Government is also very similar to the government that we have today. For example, in Rome, before it got split into 2 parts, Rome had 1 leader. That's like having a president, which is what we have in America today.
One thing that the Roman Government and the US Government have in common is that they both have two branches, the legislative branch and the executive branch.
Inventions
Symbols
Math symbols are a Roman invention that we use almost everyday. They were invented by a person during the byzantine Empire who also invented the huge defense system that kept the Byzantines alive for so long.
The Roman Alphabet is another thing that was made by the Romans and that we commonly use, since I'm even using it right now while making this Coggle. As you can see in the pictures below, the Roman Alphabet is really similar to the one we use today.
