Government
There was one ruler, making it a democratic monarchy. During the Hellenistic culture, Alexander the Great was the king.
This type of government influenced modern day life. In America there is many different types of cultures, with various diversities. It also improved our way of learning in many subjects.

Art
Art became very influential in Hellenistic culture. Many famous paintings and statues became known all around. Sculptures to honor gods and heroes were owned by rulers and merchants. Philosophy also became major during this time as well.
There were many forms of art, with one being sculptures. The largest Hellenistic statue known was over 100 feet high. Made out of bronze, it was called the Colossus of Rhodes, being made on the island of Rhodes.

Philosophy played one of the most major roles. Most controversy and conflicts happened with philosophy. Basically, beliefs were made on how people should live their lives. Two people became known because of this.
Stoics: He believed that people should live based off of what god's laws were. Anything in relation with human power or wealth were considered to be dangerous distractions. Unity was also encouraged by Stoics.

Episcuranims: He believed that gods did not care about humans. He encouraged people to do as they pleased, and do anything for their own enjoyment. For him, the best feeling was no pain at all.

Architecture
Many buildings were made in Ancient Greece, but they were also made to showcase design. Columns, courthouses, and government buildings were just some of the many structures made.

Science and Technology
Greek and Egyptian sciences were taught to the Hellenistic scholars. Most of the knowledge at this time was provided by Alexandrian scholars. The things that were taught included astronomy and mathematics and physics.
Astronomy: Many discoveries during this time were made at Alexandria's museum. Having a section to study the stars and planets, astronomers falsely and accurately came up with new findings.
False: It was estimated that the sun was 300 times bigger than Earth. However, Aristarchus, the one who came up with this, proved that the sun was not smaller than the Earth. Many people believed that to be true at the time.

True: Aristarchus also found that the Earth and other planets revolve around the sun. No one agreed with him on this at the time though.

Mathematics and physics: Geometry was the main basis for this type of learning. It is still even used in today's society. Many discoveries were also made in this area of work, and even inventions.
Discovery: Archimedes, another scientist, found the value of pi.

Invention: The screw was also made by Archimedes, which raised water from the ground.
