Some states share the same state bird. Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas all have the Northern Mockingbird as their state bird.

Another popular state bird is the Northern Cardinal. This is the state bird of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.
