Poem is chronological- preparations, his departure, the what the mother does after. However this is ambiguous because the memories are tied within his childhood memories so often not clearly distinguishable
Form
First person narrative means the reader gets an impression on the mothers feelings. No rhyming makes it sound like shes recalling memories. Long sentences & enjambment sounds like she is getting absorbed with her memories while caesura contradicts this with it sound like she is trying to hold he emotions in.
