War At Home Front
Refers to life in Britain during the war. Home front saw massive change in the role of women, rationing, bombing parts of Britain by the Germans, conscientious objectors, discontented workers etc.
Women and Children
Women
Women had to work for the job of men who went. They had
to do stuff like working in the factories, police, farming, etc. This gave them a higher level in respect. It also made them feel stronger, powerful as well because they were given hard jobs that before were not given due to the women stereotypes back then.
Children
Children were not given hard jobs but they were asked to do
stuff. For example, some of the children and some of the kids too were asked to grow vegetables and raised money. They felt like they needed to help support the people like their family who went to the war.
