Detroit is the birthplace of modern electronic music.
Rock's origins are traced to late 1940's.
Pop musicians started borrowing rythm from jazz and blues.
It was concidered a lower art form.
Rock in 1940's to 1960's
Rock 1970's
Blues evolved into new music with electric guitars and steady drumbeat.
Rock got a darker turn and new genres appeard like hard rock and heavy metal.
Rock 1990's
Alternative rock became a dominant popular music.
Not a lot of band reamerged with the new subgenre but some like Red Hot Chili Peppers did.

It started with the use of the synthesizers, but with the technological improvements more instruments appeard.
One is certain about the place were blues origined.
Blues and Jazz were mixed and a new genre appeard: Rock and Roll
In the 1970 to the 1990 new genres appeard like acid Rock, Disco and Rap.
Rap evolved into Hip Hop
Pop was referenced for white people.
