Renaissance Assessment - Coggle Diagram

- - - - This painting was made by Jan Brueghal the Elder. The pieces title is, Landscape with Travellers and Peasants on a Track. Jan Brueghal was an artists who did many pieces for different monarchs in Europe. He made paintings that incorporated a nature setting a long with people and some sort of manmade build in that nature.
        
        I personally really like this painting because of its contrast in color. The sky and forest are main focal points because of their detail, but what really draws my eye is the yellow glow from inside the sky. The yellow sunlight helps the darks of shawdows stand out more. There's just something simplistic about the whole painting that it's easy to look at, and it probably all comes from the nature sceneray.
        
        One question I first thought of when looking at the painting was why the people are traveling and not just setting up shop near the river. But now I think the painting shows that people keep living life and life keeps moving.

  - - - This piece was made by Jules de Balincourt, a French-American artist. The piece is called Illuminated. Illuminated was made by spray painting and painting an 8'x8' canvas.
      - At first this panting looked like fireworks or confetti on a black background, but by making the image larger it's actually a boat scene on a lake or body of water. The little black rectangles in the middle are boats, and the white must be the water reflecting moonlight from the night sky. I'm not sure what the bright long strands of color are meant to symbolize or mean, but at least they look cool. The mix use of colors plus the random gradient circles really gives the piece some pop.
      - Though the painting is really cool, it's hard to understand what it means. Because if you focus on the pop of the color strands it seems energetic, but then once you focus on the nightlight boat scene it brings a calm relaxing feeling. And switching between the two feels of the painting is kind of a struggle after awhile.
