Johnny killing Bob
Johnny
Johnny was not only affected by this incident due to the fact that he had to run away with Ponyboy while being searched for by the police. He was also deeply affected mentally. First, he was no longer a defenseless boy because he killed the persons who jumped him earlier and drowned Ponyboy. Furthermore, Johnny feels guilty about the incident later on, and decides to turn himself in. Evidence for this is when Johnny states "We're goin' back and turn ourselves in.'" Additionally, it is this event that leads to Johnny living in the church, leading to the fire and his eventual death.

Dally
Dally was affected by this incident due to the fact that he helped Ponyboy and Johnny find a place to hide. Additionally, he provides Pony with some clothes, money, and a gun. Evidence for this is "he handed us a gun and a roll of bills." And "Dally handed me a shirt about sixty-million sizes too big." This shows that Dally was looking out for them and didn't want them to get in trouble.

Johnny's death
characters involved
Ponyboy
Ponyboy was emotionally unstable just like Dallas because he had been through so much with Johnny and he really got to look at him form a different and friendly perspective. You can also tell that Ponyboy was emotionally unstable after Johnny's death because he started living in denial

2-bit Mathew
2-Bit Mathew wasn't really involved in the situation since he barely said anything but he was still present and moaned the death of a close friend
Dally
Dally was highly affected by Johnny's death because it says in the book that Johnny was the only thing he loved. I can infer that Johnny's passing made Dally so emotionally unstable because it said in the book how he ran out of the hospital as if the devil was chasing him. At the end of day, Dally's mental state became so bad that it lead to him committing suicide in front of the greasers. :
