Predators
lives by killing and eating other animals
Ecosystems
a community of living organisms
Consumer
is an organism that feeds on plants or other animals for energy
Producer
Plants are producers. They make their own food, which creates energy for them to grow, reproduce and survive
Prey
an animal that is hunted and killed by another animal for food (a rabbit being caught by a fox)
Habitat
specific environment for certain species
living space
Parasite
Is something that lives off another and gets food and sometimes shelter from it and usually causes harm to it
Omnivore
eats meat and vegetation (human, dog, birds, foxes)
Carnivore
animal that eats ONLY meat (wolf, hawk)
Herbivore
an animal that only eats vegetation or plant like organism (sheep, goats and cows)
Decomposer
an organism, especially a soil bacterium, that decomposes organic material (green bin)
Scavenger
is someone/something who eats off others food or garbage
Population
Is composed of members of the same species living in the same habitat
the amount of people in certain place
Community
Is a collection of all populations of all species living in the same habitat.
Biomes
is a community of plants and animals that have common characteristics for the environment they exist in.
