CHEMICAL REACTIONS
- DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT REACTIONS :
-
-
-
*DECOMPOSITION :
It is a reaction that shows the transformation of a substance into its elements or simpler compounds using heat or electrical energy.
*COMBUSTION :
The reaction of a substance with oxygen is called combustion. Most combustıon reactions are exothermic reactions.Oxides of elements are obtained as a result of combustion.
-
*ACID / BASE REACTIONS :
These are reactions in which the H + ion is taken and given . The substances that give H+ are acid , and the substances that take are base . Reactions that occur between aqueous solutions of an acid and a base are called neutralization reactions . Salt and water are formed when acid and base react.
*SINGLE DISPLACEMENT REACTIONS : all single displacement reactions have the general form: a bc → b + a
EXAMPLES TO SINGLE DISPLACEMENT REACTIONS :
magnesium metal + aqueous aluminum chloride zn(s) + 2 hcl(aq) → zncl2(aq) + h2
