INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
The prominence that liberalism places on individualism means that they believe that every individual, regardless of where they live, have the same set of rights which can not be taken away from them. A liberal state feels as if it is their responsibility to ensure that those rights are honoured universally, and when this is not the case, have the right to intervene, possibly military. The best way to assure that the inalienable rights of individuals are respected, is for every country to become a liberal democracy.
