ACTIVE/PASSIVE VOICE
Passive Voice: What happens to the object. Emphasize the object.
Structure
Same verbal tense of the active sentence + VPastParticiple + Complement
AV: Michael is doing his homework. PV:
The homework is being done by Michael.
AV: Someone wrote a letter to Karla.
PV: A letter was written to Karla.
"By" is used to show who is doing the action.
Tenses
He watches the TV.
Tv is watched.
He is watching the TV.
TV is being watched.
He watched the TV.
TV was watched.
They were preparing a meal.
A meal was being prepared.
They have done a project.

The object of the passive voice sentence becomes the subject of a passive voice sentence.
CAUSATIVE VERBS
It's a verb that 'causes' an action.
Causative verbs with passive voice are used to talk about:
When we pay for someone to do things for us.
Structure
Subject + have/get + the object + VPast Participle
Ex: I have the librarian search a book.
I have
a book searched by the librarian.
I had my mom bought clothes for me.
You get your bycicle repaired by your dad.
Verbs Structure
Have + object + verb
Give responsability to do something
I have the students do the homework.
Make + object + verb
Force/obligue to do something
My mom makes me wash the dishes.
Let + object + verb
Allow/give permission for an action
The internet let me watch my series.
Get + person + to + verb
Convince to do something
I got my mom to buy a new cell phone for me.
