Little things you should know about the Sun
The Sun is one of over 200 billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.
The Sun is 900,000 miles across.
It also ways 300 thousand times the earth.
The Sun is the most important part of our solar system.
It is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth.
he Sun is like the center of our solar system and it has gravitational pulls so it keeps our planets and in a spiral formation.
The Sun’s light is made of particles called photons born in the core then propelled by convection currents through the radiative and convective zones.
There are three regions to the Sun
Photosphere - 10,000 degrees
Chromosphere - Hotter than the photosphere
Corona - Millions of degrees
About three-quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen (~73%); the rest is mostly helium (~25%), with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron.
