      - There are different social norms, for different cultures and countries
    - - Muslims have a stereotype of being terrorists. Breaking this stereotype has become difficult for Muslims, and often those who don't participate in these behaviour still get punished
    - - Black people have a stereotype of being aggressive. Even when they don't fit this stereotype, people believe they are hiding this part of their personality
    - - Gay males have a stereotype of being loud and energetic and best friends with girls. If they break this stereotype they are considered as having a 'straight' personality
    - - Teenagers have a stereotype of being rebellious and moody. If they break this stereotype and are well behaved and hard working, they are picked on for being 'stuck up'
      - Older people have a stereotype of being wise, ill and retired. If they are in good health and still working, although it is positive, people see it as abnormal
    - - Females have a stereotype to be dainty, pretty, quiet and emotional. If females are loud, aggressive or don't want children, they are considered to be unfeminine
      - Males have a stereotype to be strong and brave and emotionless. Often if males cry or aren't athletic, they get picked on for being too 'feminine'
