stat and society week 1
linear interpolation
why do we have all this data and for how many years has this data been given for?
take the first year of the data and the last year and add both of them
Cassini's data - obliquity of the ecliptic
the time line of the data collected which in this case is 1968 years of data
after checking the data we need to look at the data if it is uniform or not
after cross checking the data and checking for the data/ find the highest and lowest and take the difference
get the rate of decline or incline
approximate the data per year

the main terms used in today's data collection are - raw data, chance, population and sample
as all these terms are very important they are commonly used
raw data- the data collected in the initial stages of research and it still has many errors to be corrected
chance is the probability of an event to occur and population is the area of research from where the data is derived from.
WHAT IS STATS? - helps to summarise data of a large area by making it simpler for record taking and filing
THE DATA CLEAN UP
VALIDITY- it is the extent to which data is defined UNIFORMITY- it is the specific data presented which is more or less accurate ACCURATE- it is the true data values
UNIFORMITY- specific data collected
inspection- it helps with the general idea of the type of data
CLEANING- to make the data more accurate
VERYFY- to check how true or correct the data is
REPORTING- the final data
