Vitamin D is also called Calciferol it aids absorption of calcium & phosphorus, therefore it prevents bone defects.
It is found in cod liver oil and in a mares colostrum (first milk), it can also be made by the body when exposed to sunlight

B complex Vitamins
There are a number of B Vitamins, the most important for the horse are B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B6 (Pyridoxine)

Important for the health of the nervous system & cardiac muscle. It also aids metabolism of CHO & Protein

Minerals can be split into Macro minerals & trace minerals. Macro minerals can be found in larger quantities in the equine diet.

Controls fluid balance, aids digestion by producing bile, aids the formation of blood
Deficiency leads to fatigue, lack of appetite & slow digestion

Aids nerve & muscle function, aids CHO uptake
