subnautica
sea emperor
The Sea Emperor Leviathan is colossal, having a stocky, entirely armored body and is predominantly pale brown in color, with shades of green. Its tentacles are adorned with bright cyan bioluminescent "bulbs."
The Sea Emperor Leviathan's posterior consists of seven long, yet slim tentacles ending with large tentacular clubs, with the largest being in the center, surrounded by the six smaller tentacles.
The Sea Emperor Leviathan is the largest of the living Leviathan class fauna found within the crater in Subnautica. It is sentient and telepathic.
Despite its gargantuan size, the Sea Emperor Leviathan's diet consists solely of micro-organisms filtered from the water, much like real-life Baleen whales and Blue whales.
reaper Leviathan
The Reaper Leviathan possesses a long, slim, muscular body with four caudal fins and two pectoral fins. It also has two dorsal fins running along the length of its entire body, and two ventral fins taking a small portion of its belly. Most of its fins, along with its back, are red in color. The fins and other red areas of the body possess slight bioluminescence.
The Reaper Leviathan emits loud, echoing roars audible from great distances. According to the data bank entry, this roar is a form of echolocation, though it does not function like this in-game. It also seems to circle its prey (or more commonly the player) for a few moments before attacking and often strikes from behind by surprise
The Reaper Leviathan is an aggressive leviathan class fauna species usually found swimming in large open areas, such as the Crash Zone, Dunes, and Mountains. It is the third-largest aggressive creature in the game and fifth largest overall.
The Reaper Leviathan often swims deeper down but not quite at the seafloor. The player can use this advantage and swim on the surface to avoid detection. It is also less likely to notice the player if they use a Seaglide instead of a submersible.
sea dragon
The head of the Sea Dragon is stout and reptilian, possessing two pairs of glowing orange eyes with white pupils, a crack-like pattern spreads from the pupils to the rest of the eye.
The mouth contains a pink tongue and thirty-two large teeth, visible even when the mouth is closed. The tip of the snout features two short, green protrusions with orange glowing tips. It also has a second set of larger fin-like protrusions beneath its lower jaw.
The Sea Dragon Leviathan's body mostly resembles the Sea Emperor Leviathan, albeit much smaller and slimmer in design.
The Sea Dragon Leviathan is a colossal leviathan class fauna species. It is the largest aggressive creature of Subnautica. There are a total of three Sea Dragon Leviathans on the map: two in the Inactive Lava Zone and one in the Lava Lakes.
ghost leviathan
The Giant Cove Tree is the nesting ground of this leviathan species (although they are not present around the tree), with its massive glowing bulbs being their eggs which are blue and purple. According to PDA scan entries of the Cove Tree, the eggs were laid there when the tree was small, and the branches have grown around the eggs to protect them until conditions are right to hatch.
Six Ghost Leviathans spawn on the map (not counting the three found in the Crater Edge): three juveniles in the Lost River, two adults in the Grand Reef, and one adult in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone.
The Ghost Leviathan is a leviathan class life form belonging to the fauna category. It is the second largest aggressive creature of Subnautica and the third largest creature in the game.
