QUANTIFIERS
Quantifiers that can only be used with plural nouns. Example: Both, several many, few / a few, fewer, fewest.
Quantifiers that can only be used with uncountable nouns. Example: much, little/ a little, less, least
Example: some, any, enough, no, all, both, half, several, much, many, more, most, few, fewer, fewest, a few, little, less, least, a little, a lot of, lots of.
Quantifiers that can be used with both countable & uncountable nouns.
Allow us to compare the quantity of one thing with the quantity of another, without specifying an exact quantity for either element.
DEFINITE ARTICLES (the)
This is used when we have talked about it the first time.
This is used when the person you are talking to knows what you are talking about. Example: I am going to the supermarket.
This is used when the noun is known as the only single object/concept ever existed. Example: The sun is so bright.
Do not use 'the' with names of countries except for special cases.

Example: This bag is suppose to be in my room.
THAT
Example: That person shouldn't do that to his sister.
PLURAL
THESE
Example: These nuts are the reason why I have to go to the clinic today.
THOSE
Example: Those clothes are from my clothes rack.
To show where an object, event, or a person is in relation to the speaker.
DISTRIBUTIVES
Examples: Each, every, either, neither
Refer to a group of people or things, and to individual members of the group.
They show different ways of looking at the individuals within a group, and they express how something is distributed, shared or divided.
INDEFINITE ARTICLES (a, an)
The 'a' is used before words that begin with
consonant sounds.
Example: My father is
a
taxi driver
.
The 'an' is used before words that begin with
vowel sounds.
. Example: We need at least an umbrella to go out together.
POSSESSIVES
Examples: my, your, his, her, its, our, their
It is used in front of noun to express possession or belonging.
NUMBERS
CARDINAL
A number that denotes quantity. Example: one, two, three, four, five
ORDINAL
A number that tells the position of something in a list. Examples: first, second, third, twenty third.
