Lords and Serfs
The serfs were not slaves but neither did they possess anything of their own.Could abandon it without the permission of the feudal lord.They had to cultivate the fields, deliver to the feudal lord the indicated quantities of cereals, meat, etc.
Middle Ages
It began with the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 and ended with the discovery of America in 1942.
