The Egyptians were skilled in shipbuilding, which is an important achievement because they were able to use the Nile river and boats to transport people and goods to foreign lands to grow their economy.
Mummifying the dead of Egypt
The Egyptians mummified their dead, in which they would remove all the moisture from dead bodies, leaving a dry form that would not decay. This is a significant achievement because they were able to preserve their dead so that they could be studied by archeologists for years to come.
Pyramids
This is an important achievement because the Egyptians used their limited resources to construct great pyramids that were 481 feet tall and 13 acres wide.
SOCIETY

The middle of society included scribes and soldiers. Scribes were in charge of writing down the history of Egypt and soldiers fought in Egyptian battles.
Bottom
The bottom of society included peasants, servants, and farmers. The bottom would pay most of their income to Egypt's taxes. It was difficult for these people to climb ranks in society.

GEOGRAPHY
Nile River
Egypt is along the banks of the Nile River. This effected society because being close to the Nile River was critical as it provided a reliable water source. This contributed to the success of Egypt because it provided water for crops, rivers full of fish to eat, and access to the open sea for trade and travel.
Fertile Land
The fertile land of Egypt provided society with work as farmers, which contributed to the creation of jobs and access to food.
Desert
The desert in Egypt was very dry, and this effected society because this land was too dry for Egyptians to settle on, which prohibited them from using this land to their advantage.
