2. Blended learning
Definition: Blended learning is a mix of e-learning with classroom instruction. A teaching practice that combines classroom and online learning. The instruction of a lesson occurs with both teacher interaction and computing devices.
Model
Rotation Model:a fixed schedule of in-classroom and online instruction. It alternates between an in-classroom lecture supported by online study and an online lecture with supporting classroom activities.
3 Flex Model: Students learn primarily online, while the classroom is used for tech support.
Face-to-Face Driver Model: The teacher is the primary instructor and drives the discussion and augmented with the use of digital media solutions for education.
Online Lab Model: Courses are taught fully online but supervised by an adult in the physical classroom.
Self-Blend Model: Students are able to take courses online supplementing their traditional in-classroom studies, getting control over what they choose to learn.
Online Driver Model: This is also taught fully online. It is self-paced with teachers checking in on a student and providing support as needed.
Characteristics
Online and offline learning – Blended learning combines some form of online learning with some type of offline learning.
Independent learning - allow learners to learn on their own and to use the materials and resources presented to them in ways that work best for them
Instructor involvement – Those who take online learning from home can interact with their trainers online through message boards and emails.
Peer interaction - Those learning in traditional classrooms will have their peers sitting right next to them, which lets them work together on assignments. Trainees who take classes online can interact with others via the class message boards
Support for learners - trainers provide all the help and support they need both through offline meetings and online solution.

1. Cooperative Learning
Characteristics
- Students work together in small groups containing two to five members
- Students are positively interdependent.
- Activities are structured so that students need each other to accomplish their common tasks or learning activities
- Students are individually accountable or responsible for their work or learning
Definition: Cooperative learning involves students working together to accomplish shared goals, and it is this sense of interdependence that motivate group members to help and support each other.
4. Flipped classroom
Characteristics
Flexible environment: teacher create flexible learning environment by providing opportunities for students to choose when and where they want to learn

Intentional Content: teachers determine what they need to teach and what materials students should handle on their own.
Professional Educator: teachers can observe, provide timely feedback, continuously assess work and help students master content.
Definition: A flipped classroom is a type of blended learning where students are introduced to content at home and practice working through it at school.

7.Inquiry based learning
Definition:
- a constructivist approach, in which students have ownership of their learning
- starts with exploration and questioning and leads to investigation into a worthy question, issue, problem or idea
- involves asking questions, gathering and analyzing information, generating solutions, making decisions, justifying conclusions and taking action
