Two types of images
Real image: light rays actually meet to produce the image.

Virtual image: appears to be formed and neither can be produced on a screen nor can be projected. generally erect.
What is light
Light, or Visible Light, commonly refers to electromagnetic radiation that can be detected by the human eye.
Non Luminous: Objects that do not emit or release light are non luminous. For example a table, humans or the moon as it does not produce light, it just reflects light for the sun.

Luminous: Objects that emit or release light are said to be luminous objects. Some examples can be a light bulb, candle, lamp etc.
