Food Waste-
Food waste refers to food that completes the food supply chain up to a final product, of good quality and fit for consumption, but still doesn't get consumed because it is discarded, whether or not after it is left to spoil or expire.
It is predicted that the volume of food waste generated annually will rise by 1.9 percent every year between 2015 and 2030, while the value of food waste generated will rise by 1.8 percent every year, leading to 2.1 billion tonnes of food being wasted every year by 2030, at a value of $1.5 trillion dollars.
Shop Smart, store food correctly and Save Leftovers.
Global warming
what is global warming: Global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earth's average surface temperature over the past century primarily due to the greenhouse gases released by people burning fossil fuels.
what causes global warming: Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollutants and greenhouse gases collect in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth's surface.
Acid rain
what is acid rain and what causes it: Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.
how to prevent acid rain: Alternative fuels An excellent way to prevent acid rain is to stop using nonrenewable fuels and switch over to renewable sources of energy, such as solar, wind and water energy. As the technology for these alternative energies increases, they will become more accessible to the public.
Air pollution
The most basic solution for air pollution is to move away from fossil fuels, replacing them with alternative energies like solar, wind, and geothermal
Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air.
Deforestation
Deforestation, the clearing or thinning of forests by humans. In the practice of clear-cutting, all the trees are removed from the land, which completely destroys the forest.
Predicted that by 2050, an area of tropical forest over a million square miles large, or the size of the country of India, will just disappear. Most of the effects of deforestation are obvious, however, there are some that cannot be observed as well.
Banning Clear-Cutting of Forests, Reduce Consumption of Paper and Purchase from Sustainable, Forest-Friendly Companies.
Ocean acidification.
what is ocean acidification: Ocean acidification is the ongoing decrease in the pH of the Earth's oceans, caused by the uptake of carbon dioxide (CO. 2) from the atmosphere. The main cause of ocean acidification is the burning of fossil fuels
