Do not click on email links even from companies you may trust because it may not be the company themselves. It could be a phishing attempt and it is better to access the website directly to see if there is an issue going on with your account being accessed or if the password was changed without your authorization
Changing your internet routers password
Many internet routers to access their settings have the default password and username set to admin and these passwords are easily available for anyone to use and look up. This password can easily be changed to something else to prevent your router from being accessed in ways you do not want it to be.
Viruses
If you suspect you may have a virus or another type of threat on your computer, go to someone or a company you trust such as a family member with a background in computer science or cybersecurity, or to the manufacturer of your device such as Apple. Do not call any numbers listed on your computer about how to fix a virus.
