Students create sentences to illustrate they know the meaning and use of new words

Students write about a topic using the target language
Principal features
The goal of foreign language learning is the ability to understand the texts written in the foreign language
Classes are taught in the mother tongue, with little active use of the target language
Much vocabulary is taught in the from of a list of isolated word
Long elaborate is taught in the form of a list of isolated words
Grammar provides the rules for putting word together, and instruction often focuses on the form and inflection of words
