If I were to take the insects out of the food web, it would decrease the population of the prairie dogs, American badgers, along with the coyotes. The insects are the prairie dogs main source of food, without the insects the prairie dog population would decrease as that would limit their food source. The prairie dogs are one of the American badgers main food source, so if the prairie dog population decreases, it would limit the American Badgers population. The badgers population would not reduce by much as they still have mice to feed on, but it would still reduce the population. The coyote eats both the american Badgers, and the prairie dogs. If the American badger and the prairie dog population is reduced, that would limit the food source of the coyote, resulting in the limitation of the coyotes.
