Assessments
Research Projects- Giving your students an end of a semester or at the end of a unit project that they find the information for themselves, using notes, books, computers, etc.
Think-Pair-Share- The teacher ask a question, while the students think and then write down their answer and then are placed into groups to discuss.

Group Projects- Tasking each group to create a presentation that they've researched and made so they can present to the class.
Performance
Entrance Ticket- Giving a few questions to students before the start of a lesson to assess the students knowledge over the topic.
Diagnostic
STAAR- This is Texas standardized test for students to be tested on knowledge learned in the given grade level.
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Process of gathering evidence of student learning.
Exit Tickets- Students can give their initial thoughts over the lesson that was taught that day.
Definition: Pre-Assessment that gives the teacher to determine students individual strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills prior to instruction.
KWL- Students will write what they know first, what they want to learn next, and then what they learned.
Definition: Evaluate students learning at the end of a unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark.
Final Exams- A final exam to asses the students knowledge learned over a period of time over a specific content area
Definition: Evaluate where students are in their learning process and whether they are on track to preforming well on future assessments.
MAP- A test to show students achievements in math and reading that is done on the computer.
Definition:Form of testing that requires students to perform a task rather than select an answer from a ready-made list. Mainly to demonstrate their knowledge!
Portfolios- Students will assess their own academic performance by taking assignments they've already completed and creating a portfolio.
