p.15 - Don't praise for low level or expected behaviour. Aim high by priasing high. Praising everything shows they are low abiltiy.
p.10 - don't forget to give it when things go well

p.83 - Merits (stags) can work but till yr 7
p.83 - praise from a respected T as an award
p.81 -Cowley feels carrot is less effective than sanctions (Vs TB Guru). Can depend on sch setup.
p.81. Some kids can see the value of sch but others may need simple rewards to motivate them as short sighted
p.82 Rewards must be - wanted, age specific, justly given, bespoke, don't overlook good stds, private/public (peer pressure)
P 83-85. A comprehensive rewards list (these could be fitted to the learner in accordance to B4L needs e.g. Phoning hone if outer circle recieves bad news all the time. Bailey-Paradise lost Hayden Yr 8 - F's monster)
