Circulatory system
The heart is the control centre of the circulatory system where blood is pumped in and out
the left has the same function but it pumps round blood to the body
The right side pumps and takes blood in from the lungs
The veins arteries and capillaries make the transportation of the circulatory system
The arteries have to carry blood in high pressure so they have a thick wall and standard lumen of roughly 5 mm
Capillaries carry blood in low pressure environments
so they have a thin lumen and wall
veins have large lumen a thin wall and contain smooth muscles to deal with a medium pressure surrounding
blood cells
red blood cells carry oxygen while white blood cells fight against diseases.
platelets help blood clot after cuts and bleeding
Cell Organisation
The digestive system has 5 stages
The liver produces bile
absorption of food molecules
The stomach digests food
undigested food turns faeces
Production of digetive juices
Cell->Tissues->Organ->Organ System->Organisms
starting off with the cell these make up and are organised into
the tissues. then tissues come together to make different organs these organs are linked together to make organ systems such as the digestive system then these combine to make organisms ie humans.
