Prior to the PBIS program schools used to have Zero Tolerance, but recent data and study has shown that kids who get suspended they fall behind other kids, and loose their confidence. PBIS on the other hand works better on understanding why kids are behaving in such a manner, and how can we make that child more welcome in class and in his community.
