Teacher and or parent have concerns about student's progress and or behavior.

Have Parent conference

If needed have a conference with the SPED team so they are aware of the concern and possible testing that may be about to happen.

Loop in the RTI(response to intervention) team to see if this is going to be the first stop along the way. (unless Parent has requested that their scholar be tested; in this case the student has to be evaluated by law within 90 days)

Student may be receiving extra support by either a team member of the RTI team or just some extra differentiation happening as an in class support.

Now a Student Success Team (SST) is formed ( gen ed teacher, sped. team and parent): We then discusses concerns about the student, and their data and the next steps that will be taken.

Depending on the students data and the time of year student may be referred to RTI team first to try tier 2 and or tier 3 strategies.

STUDENT IS EVALUATED FOR SPED SERVICES

PULL OUT GROUPS BEGAN WITH RETEACH STRATEGIES IMPLEMENTED.

RESULTS COME IN AND A MEETING IS HELD WITH THE SST TO GO OVER THE FINDINGS.

STUDENT FOUND ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES

YES

PARENT AGREES WITH FINDINGS AND WANTS SERVICES TO BEGAN.

HOURS AND ACCOMMODATIONS ARE DISCUSSED AND IEP IS FORMED.

NO

RTI SERVICES CONTINUE AS WELL AS OTHER DIFFERENTIATING STRATEGIES FOR STUDENT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. STUDENTS DATA IS CONTINUING TO BE MONITORED.

SPED SERVICES FOR SCHOLAR BEGANS.
