patient severely burnt by boiling hot oil, areas burnt include arms, chest, shoulders, fingers. chest and abdomen are pale gray-white color. Main concern is infection, dehydration, and body temperature.

Direct cause of burns is exploding boiling hot oil due to cold turkey placed in boiling turkey fryer.
Indirect cause
Possible turkey fryer gas tank valve malfunction leading to excess heat. Possible turkey defrost was not not fully defrosted. Excess oil in turkey fryer.

A burn is tissue damage inflicted by intense heat, electricity, radiation, or certain chemicals, all kill cells in the affected area.
Account for catastrophic loss of body fluids leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, and renal failure and circulatory shock.
First degree burn - only epidermis is damaged, localized redness, swelling and pain. Healing in two to three days, Example is a sunburn
Second degree burn - injure the epidermis and the upper region of the dermis. symptoms include mimic of first degree burn but blisters appear. Painful, skin regeneration within three to four weeks, partial thickness burns.
Third degree burns - full thickness burns, involving entire thickness of skin, burned area appears gray -white , cherry red, or black. Nerve endings are burned, not painful.
