Mixture: Two or more pure substances that are mixed but aren't combined. EX- Salt and water, Soda, Oil and water
Compounds: Substances that are the same and are Chemically combined. EX- Water, carbon dioxide
Elements: The simplest type of pure substance. EX- Tin, sulfur

Liquid: A substance that flows freely but is of constant volume. EX- Water, Oil
Gas:a substance or matter in a state in which it will expand freely to fill the whole of a container. EX- Air, helium
Pure substance: A substance made of solely one type of particle. It has properties and a definite composition
Solid: firm and stable in shape; not liquid or fluid.
EX- Glass, rock, wood
