she never expected tea cake to save he life or even be in that position. she thought he was going to die. He was there for her and to protect her no matter what. she would never be the person she is now if it wasn't for tea cake. hew made something out of her. S.W

The other men was jealous of how tea cake hit janie because they knew they could never hit their wife like that because they would hit back.
Tea cake was suppose to be her pear tree, so no matter why he hit her he shouldn't have done it.
