New Import (Import Data)
Data to import - dropdown
- Selecting data in the dropdown then populates
information in the following steps
- ~12 templates to choose from
Step 1: Open template in Excel
- :rocket: Link: Template provided
Exception: Contributions
- Allows user to auto-populate template, pick plan year, and enter consumer data for the employer
- Allows the user to save some time from filling out every column
- This is the only template that does that
-
Step 3: View setup data
- :rocket: Link: Setup data requirements
- Typically used after errors are found in the file, the employers generally try to guess the correct answers first
Step 4: Save your file
- Accepted types: .xlsx, .xls, .csv
Step 5: Upload file
- :rocket: Select file to upload
-
Additional option: synchronize
- essentially overwrites existing files and forces this file to be imported. This is only used in special circumstances
Import Homepage
- Immediately shows queue
- New import button on top right corner
- Setup contributions location?

Import Queue
File failed :red_cross:
nothing was processed, cannot fix it
Cancel the file here, then called "completed cancelled"
Some leave the file here, other cancel the file
Previously, if files fail you couldn't upload another file until this one was taken care of. Today, you can upload more files even with failed files waiting in the queue
Other notes
Convince the user that the warnings are important and should be addressed - they currently do not understand the importance of the notifications that they are getting
-
Do employers want to see the admin imports, as well as their own? Employers need to act on the files that they have dropped, it would be good to separate the files that the admin drops through some type of filter
:star: The terminology should be changed to be simpler to understand and how we communicate what has gone wrong and how to fix it
Completed
-
Errors :warning: icon
"file has completed, but there are x errors"
:star: We want people to look at the errors, but they currently are ignoring this

On Hold
Files can be dependent on the other, if one file is failing you want to keep the other on hold
Potentially may have issues based on thresholds set by admin (flags so that the employer can double check work)
-
:rocket: force import after approving on hold files to import the file - the file will not process unless an action is taken. The entire file doesn't import, and no additional files will be processed with a file that is on hold
