        In the book Hakrim suprises Laila and Tariq with a trip to see the sculptures of Buddha. Hakrim talks about how different Fariba used to be before she lost her sons.
        
        Rasheed finds Laila with the metal shard stuck in her shoulder.She was lucky that she made it with a full recovery.Laila and Mariam both have lost their mother's and family members.
        
        Tariq is forced to leave because it is the best for his dads health. Laila feels lost without Tariq in her life while her parents are still arguing about something.

      - Reflections.I was really suprised when Mariam killed Rasheed. Honestly it was probably the best choice because that was the only way to stop him. Also if she wouldn't have killed him then he would have killed both of them.
      - Reflections.I realize that Mariam wants to keep the children safe but she doesn't really have to turn herself in. She could hide the evidence and no one would know it was her.It sucks that Mariam is sharing a cell with 4 children it shows how messed up their culture is.
      - It's weird how Mariam is treated like a celebrity in her cell for killing someone.The culture is so messed up like why would hundreds of people watch Mariam get executed.In the book Mariam was a great selfless character that pretty much changed Laila's life in exchange for hers.
