Olanzapine is a dopamine D1, D2, D4, 5-HT2, histamine-1, and muscurenic-receptor antagonist. It treats mainly schizophrenia and other related psychoses and mania in bipolar. Route of administration includes PO or fortnightly long acting IMI. Side effects include, lethargy, weight gain, issues with movement, restlessness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness and hormonal side effect.
