CONTINUITY (FEUDAL ECONOMICS AND SOCIETY) :The structure of society was the same as the structure during the middle ages, and were divided into privileges:
The privileges states were
CLERGY: Had a spiritual function in the society: To protect people souls
NOBLEMEN: They can only be judged by the king or by other noblemen
PEASANTS: Most of the population were on this state and they don't have any privilages
CONTINUITY (Kings and kingdoms)
The disputes led to social and political inestability
The disputes also led to the appearance of institutions such as the courts and parliaments of the estates of the realm

Several historical factors in Europe provided the motibation to explore :
ECONOMIC FACTORS: Gold and silver were needed to make coins. When byzantium was taken by the ottoman turks in 1453, the traditional trade route to obtain spices was blocked so alternative routes had to be found
DEMOGRAPHIC FACRORS:after the population crisis of the late middle ages, the population grew and there was a higher demand of the prcious metals and products from Asia
POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS FACTORS: there was a rivaly between the islamic and chistian states particulary in the iberian kingdoms
SOCIOLOGICAL FACTORS: factors associated with the renaissance and the desire to learn and explore
