Ozymandias
Qutoes
" My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; "
-
-
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
-
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;

Methods
The traveler
Not just a man or Person a " Traveler " and not from England of Scotland but an " antique land " which Implies he is wise.
The statue
" Trunk less legs " this is powerful due to you think of tree's when you think of " trunk less " so you could image massive legs with a missing body.
" Half sunk a shattered visage lies, " this is good because it isn't " a face half in the sand ." Its uses the word sunk, like a ship or boat making it sound bigger.
" whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, " This tells you that the Ozymandias was an old man due to the wrinkled lips and a frown which implies he is old.
"The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;" this tells you that he was a cruel leader, by showing that he was mocking to his people. The hand symbol was almost like a swear to the people.
.
Ego
"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;" This tells you that Ozymandias was a very cocky king, saying that he was the highest king there was. This turn pretty ironically as his kingdom is the one that is broken along with his statue.
The kingdom
"Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. " The author uses this to show that it was a big kingdom back then, this turn quiet sad as his kingdom is not as big as it once was.
" Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.” This shows you that desert was the only this remaining thing.
Effect on the reader
This poem affects the reader by making them think sympathy for Ozymandias as he was once the king of a kingdom. But now his statue has crumbled, the kingdom has been covered and nothing remains but an empty desert.
