Simplification of a part / product is important to enable as many features for free as part of a process, this could be Alignment, Attachment, Connection, performance or features. In some cases adding one feature could remove 6 others, (context of where your trying to remove complexity is important as it can sometimes just move the complexity somewhere else, you need to zoom out sometimes
