Multi ethnics and cultures
racism for christians
unacceptable as all people are made in gods image and we are all stewards of the earth meaning we all are on the same level as each other.
part of our stewardship is to take care of each other and everything around us so there is no reason for discrimination
some branches of the christian church have even encouraged racism on an ideological level
it can be used to get people to think badly about the religion that they are currently a part of and get them to convert to stop racism against them
racism is a way of expressing that not all people have the same value with is wrong and is also the start of a great amount of suffering
if racism was abolished and resisted the world would be a much better place and people would live in harmony
combating racism for some is the most important task as some people are willing to risk their lives to stop
there are too many issues of greater importance to deal with than racism
When a stranger resides in your land, you will not do him wrong
there is neither jew nor Greek, male nor female, slave nor free you are all one
agape love
love thy neighbour
the good samaritan
jesus inclusion of gentiles (anyone non jewish)
advantages
people of differing backgrounds and ethnicities can then understand each other better
promotes tolerance to differing people
results in a much more rounded society with a variety of food, music and practises
challenges ideas
racism
it is one of the more serious issues in multi ethnic societies
people have been treated badly and human rights have been breached
For example, not many years ago, there were race riots in the UK due to ethnic tensions, unemployment and poor social conditions
