Pathophysiology: partial or complete occlusion with a thrombus or sclerosis of the main vein that drains blood from the retina which causes vision problems
Assessment
Patient has an intact visual field but also has a blind spot that was initially purple and now white. Patient passes all visual field tests but states that when he looks at a picture of a chair on the far wall, parts of the chair are missing.
