this is because halogens need to gain an electron, so are more reactive with a higher electrostatic force

They increase in boiling points as you go down, as the atomic mass increases

The reactivity increases as you go down the group, while the boiling/melting point decreases
This is because the electrostatic force of attraction is weaker the further down you go, and it is easier for the outer shell electron to be lost
They are soft with low density, and have low boiling points
