Seven Barriers of Communication
Emotional barriers
Another example of this being used in a situation is when they would want to say something to another individual nut knows that they will get threatened if they do.
A example of this is also used in a conversation by tricking someone that is vulnerable into something, without using their emotions. When a group involves someone who is different to them and encourages them into saying something that they fear to say out loud.
Physical Barrier
Another example for this barrier is an individual being blind, as this stops them from doing certain things and special equipment will be needed.
For example in a work place, your surrounded by high dividers so there cannot be any communication between the desks. This will also be shown through a person who cannot speak, so it is harder for them to communicate as everyone doesn't know how to do sign language.
Interpersonal Barrier
Another way this is shown through conversation if they are talking on a subject about mental health problems as this can occur in some peoples lives. It will appear to the person who has been in a mental state will feel either uncomfortable or relaxed and open to speak about that to the other individuals.
Interpersonal barriers is shown through their body language and eye contact as they show their different perceptions of themselves, such as physical and mental. As this is one of the hardest ways to communicate with others. This will also be shown in going to social workers or people who can understand and can help the individual out with their mental health problem.
Language barriers
For example this could also be shown through the language of slang. Slang is used partially from rough areas. This would also happen during a conversation in a workplace as the individual does not know what the person who speaks slang is talking about or the meaning of that word, this will stop the communication as they both aren't interested or can communicate with each other.
Language Barriers would be used in a conversation when one individual speaks a different language. for instance, French and English do not communicate with one another only if one can understand the others language
Using slang as well to another individual
Cultural barriers
Cultural Barriers is a result of living in a small world where nothing is right. This will be used when two cultures clash. For example, this would happen when two people has two different cultures, as they are both raised differently so they would find it difficult to come to an agreement.
For example, in some cultures eye contact is important whereas in some it is rude and disrespectful.
Gender barriers
This would be less of an issue as ,mostly both genders get along with one another. However there is some competivness in some conversations as one think they are better than the other gender.
For example a male would communicate to a woman by using miscnonstruct words that will be suitable for the women to understand in the conversation which is also vice versa. this will be shown as effective communication.
Perceptual Barriers
For example, when a individual assumes they don't understand it ends up being a internal problem, as you think you are better than them. this would be used when a individual thinks they are smarter than them, so they might exchange communication so it can be suitable for them to communicate back to them but can leave them confused within the conversation.
