Clinical manifestations are related to hypotonic hyponatremia. Serum sodium less than 115-120 mEq/L have symptoms of anorexia, nausea, vomiting, headache, irritability, muscle cramps, and weakness. If it gets below 110mEq/L then symptoms include psychosis, seizures, or come.
Diagnostic criteria include urine analysis, serum sodium, and look at plasma osmolality.
Treatment include water resctiction, isotonic or hypertonic saline IV
